week in review
This week has started off much differently than last week, with the first pickup game of the season on Sunday, my return to PVCF today and spending both evenings at home with a good book. Well, the Good Book; I’ve started reading the Bible again. At the moment, I’m in the middle of Deuteronomy.

It’s hard to be in thrall to more than one abstraction at a time, whether it’s love, loss, despair or anything else. Our bodies are very strict at limiting us to one of these things at a time, in the same way that we aren’t able to focus on background and foreground simultaneously. You can try, but in both cases it makes you feel goofy.
